My Story

2010 - that’s when my world changed.

A year after losing my father I was diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis. Boy did this quiet-yet-loud disease change my world.

Fast forward 7 years and BOOM I officially failed all FDA-approved medications. Three surgeries were my only solution. I removed my entire colon and rectum and now have a J-pouch.

It hasn’t been an easy adjustment but it's been almost 5 years in August. I’m so happy I took this route. I was able to have my beautiful J-Pouch baby-girl who came July 2020.

This journey will also have its ups and downs but I love advocating and being a voice to this silent disease. I’ve met so many amazing warriors along the way.

My Motivation and Inspiration

Being a voice for this silent disease
