My Story
I’m Liz, and I’ve dealt with chronic pain and immune disorders for most of my life. My journey has had many ups and downs, but one thing has always been a constant…insurance issues, from lack of access to medicine to high premium payments to copay issues. Additionally, my diagnoses have come after many tests, visits, and wrong turns.
My advocacy focuses on getting the right care for patients, right away, with the full transparency all patients deserve. I don’t want others to have to go through what I have gone through!
I want to continue to focus as well on invisible disabilities and help grow awareness of them in an effort to make it easier for patients to receive the care and understanding they need.
Additionally, my interests in advocacy has also grown to include continued awareness and support for immune-compromised patients of all ages in the wake of the global Covid-19 pandemic and for communities to be prepared for future pandemics, outbreaks, and health crises that could further impact the lives and wellness of these patients.
