My Story

My name is Lisa Vecchione. I live in New Jersey . I was diagnosed in 2004 with #HypertrophicCardioMyopathy. I lived in heart failure until June 20th 2022 when I received the gift of life from my Heart Donor. I no longer have HCM (Hypertrophic Cardio Myopathy) due to my brand new Heart . But I still am a heart patient. I am beyond blessed with my gift.

When I was diagnosed in 2004 I was in rough shape. It was a constant battle with fluid buildup in my body, angina, fatigue, brain fog. In 2010 I had to stop with going completely because my health had been deteriorating. I battled to live and spend time with my loved ones and friends. I was blessed to find the HCMA association that was started to help people like myself get proper care. Many cardiologist do not understand this heart issue.

Fast forward to 2022 I was officially listed for a heart transplant March 29th 2022 . On Father's Day June 19th I received the call that a heart match had been found for me . I received my gift 6-20-22. I am so blessed God has has his hand on me and provided!

My Motivation and Inspiration

I want to educate and help others navigate through what I have lived .
