My Story
We just returned from Mayo clinic in Phoenix. I had an appointment with Neurological Surgery on Tuesday. I was told I would see Pain Management for my occipital nerve problem. I saw a PA who asked me why I was here? My records had not been forwarded to her except my Xray of my upper spine. She suggested I should see Pain Management, and would send a referral. No referral was sent and I have spent the rest of the week trying to get an appointment.
They changed me to Headache Clinic and now it will be June until I can do a video visit. We drove 500 miles back home, and now have an appointment June 8 to a video appointment with a physician. What a disappointment to a place where I felt would give me some answers to my pain!
My Motivation and Inspiration
I still have faith that a solution will come, but feel Mayo clinic is just a large hospital that might treat me differently if I had cancer, or other life threatening disease. I would be grateful for answers who have experienced this attitude for chronic disease
