My Story

Hi there, I'm Jamie Nicole, aka The Natural HEALing Coach, and I'm excited to share my story with you.

My journey from a single mom of two struggling with undiagnosed health issues to a certified health coach, fitness instructor, life coach, and health equity advocate has been nothing short of transformative.

In 2015, I found myself facing a series of unexplained health symptoms that were wreaking havoc on my life. It was a challenging time, trying to balance the responsibilities of being a single mom, working to support my family, and managing the daily struggles that came with undiagnosed health conditions.

Finally, in 2015, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, a condition that affects the thyroid gland and can lead to a range of debilitating symptoms. Little did I know that this was just the beginning of my health journey. In 2019, I received another diagnosis: narcolepsy, a neurological disorder that causes excessive daytime sleepiness and disrupted sleep patterns.

These diagnoses rocked my world, but they also ignited a fire within me to learn more about my own health and help others facing similar challenges. In 2017, I became a certified health coach, and in 2020, I added certifications as an autoimmune protocol coach and life coach to my repertoire. This was my way of taking control of my health and empowering others to do the same.

In 2020, I took on a pivotal role as a board member at Bee Busy Wellness Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that serves underserved communities. This experience opened my eyes to the social determinants of health (SDOH) and the profound impact they have on individuals' well-being. I began to realize that healthcare access and justice go far beyond simply eating right, exercising, and visiting the doctor. They encompass broader issues like social justice, environmental justice, and housing.

In 2022, I founded the AIP BIPOC Network, recognizing the need for support and resources specifically tailored to the autoimmune community within Black, Indigenous, and People of Color communities (BIPOC). This initiative is close to my heart, as it aims to address the unique challenges faced by individuals from marginalized backgrounds in managing chronic illnesses.

My journey has taught me that healthcare is a holistic issue, intertwined with social and environmental factors that impact our lives every day. To truly advocate for health equity, we must take a comprehensive approach, addressing the barriers that prevent optimal health for everyone. It's about ensuring that everyone has access to the resources they need to live their healthiest, happiest lives.

Through my work as a health coach, board member at Bee Busy Wellness Center, and founder of the AIP BIPOC Network, I'm dedicated to removing these barriers and championing health equity for all. Join me in this journey towards a healthier, more just world, one where every individual has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances. Together, we can make a difference.

My Motivation and Inspiration

My motivations and inspiration stem from the challenges I've faced on my own health journey. As a single mom trying to provide for my children while grappling with undiagnosed health issues, I've experienced firsthand the emotional and physical toll that chronic illness can take on a person's life. It was these personal struggles that drove me to become a health coach and advocate for health equity. My desire to empower individuals facing similar obstacles and to raise awareness about the broader social and environmental factors impacting health has become my driving force. I am inspired by the resilience of my own journey and the potential to make a positive impact on the lives of others by addressing the systemic barriers that hinder optimal health.
